Swedish peace activists deploy bizarre underwater deterrent to Russian subs that sends out a welcome message 'this way if you're gay'

스웨덴 수도 스톡홀름 발트해에 5월 12일, 평화 단체가 '동성애자는 이 쪽으로'라는 메세지를 신호로 보내기 위해 소나(수중 음향 탐지기) 장치 Singing Sailor(노래하는 선원)를 설치했습니다. 이는 러시아 잠수함의 스웨덴 영해 침입을 저지하기 위해서라고 합니다. 

 

앞서 스웨덴 스톡홀름 군도 앞바다에서는 지난해 러시아의 것으로 보이는 소형 잠수함이 영해를 침범해 큰 문제가 됐습니다. 이에 따라 스웨덴 정부는 국방비를 102억 SEK로 인상한다고 발표했습니다.
하지만 더 쉽고 효과적인 방법은 없을까?
스웨덴 평화 중재 협회(SPAS)는 영해 침범을 군사력으로 거부하기보다, 따뜻하게 맞아 주는 것은 어떨까 제안했습니다. 형광 핑크 네온이 유달리 눈길을 끄는 이 소나 장치 <노래하는 선원>을 발트해에 가라앉힌 것입니다.

 

SPAS는 "군사력으로 분쟁을 해결할 수 있었다면 이미 평화가 왔을 것이다"라고 덧붙였습니다.
동성애를 용납하지 않는 러시아에게는 효과적으로 통할지도 모르겠습니다. 저 쪽으로 건너가면 게이가 되는 것이니까요.

Being a Russian who grew up in the UK i find the whole situation idiotic. People of the UK, Russia is NOT planning on attacking you. Most of you must know someone who is Russian, we are normal people (slightly odd at times and noisy) but we have had our fair share of deaths from wars. No one wants to fight. Plus there never was a russian submarine in Swedesh waters.
