호주 IS 테러 인질극 2명 사망

호주 멜버른(Melbourne)에서 5 일, 남자가 아파트에 침입해 여성 1 명을 인질로 잡은 사건이 있었다. 경찰과의 총격전으로 경찰 3 명이  다치고 남자가 사살되었다. 이슬람 과격파 조직 '이슬람 국가(IS) '가 사실상 범행 성명을 냈다.

현장은 브라이튼(Brighton) 지역의 교외. 아파트에서 폭발이 있었다는 신고를 받고 경찰이 현장에 급행, 로비에서 용의자 남성과 다른 남성의 시신을 발견했다.

인질범이 사살됨으로써 인질범을 포함해 2명이 사망하고 인질 1명이 무사히 풀려나는 것으로 종결됐다. 인질로 잡혀있던 여성은 무사했다.

몇 시간 후, ISIS 산하 통신사 아마크(Amaq)는 "멜버른 공격 실행범은 이슬람 국가의 전사"라고 전했다.

경찰은 6 일, 사건을 '테러'로 수사하겠다고 밝혔다.
